A Delight in Every Bite

Flour Treats started in the most simple way: at home, in our kitchen, with desserts made for the people we love.

My husband Alfred has always had a passion for baking. Before we moved to Canada, he worked for 12 years as a Chief Pastry Chef with Norwegian Cruise Lines. He spent years creating beautiful desserts for people around the world, but some of the recipes closest to his heart were the Filipino desserts we grew up with and missed from home.

One day, he started baking some of my favorite treats just for our family. We shared them with a few friends, and our friends shared them with their friends. Soon enough, people were messaging and calling, asking if Alfred could bake for them too. What started as a small hobby quickly became something much bigger than we ever expected.

The comments we received meant so much to us. People told us our desserts reminded them of home, family gatherings, and childhood memories. One of our closest friends encouraged us to turn Alfred’s passion into a business and share these flavors with more people in our community.

So we took a chance. We rented a commercial kitchen, worked long hours, and poured our hearts into every batch we made. With the help of our family and friends supporting us through marketing, deliveries, and spreading the word, Flour Treats slowly grew into what it is today.

Now, we proudly deliver our Filipino baked goods and desserts to 12 stores across Edmonton and Sherwood Park, including Lucky Supermarket North and South locations. But no matter how much we grow, our goal stays the same: to make desserts that bring comfort, happiness, and a little taste of home in every bite.

Flour Treats is more than just a bakery to us — it’s our story, our passion, and our way of sharing a piece of our culture with others. And we’re so grateful to everyone who has supported us along the way.

Because at Flour Treats, it really is a Delight in Every Bite.
